The innkeepers-review

Claire (Sara Paxton) and Luke (Pat Healy) are working their final weekend at the Yankee Pedlar Inn before it shuts down. On Luke’s spare time, he has been working on a web site of past hauntings of the hotel. Determined to get some actual proof, the two begin to make recordings of the bizarre things that might happen. When weird things do start to happen, they try to figure out a way to escape. Will the ghosts let them leave? What do the ghosts want?Review:

I liked and disliked this film. I liked the playful banter between Luke and Claire as they try to pass time.    I didn’t like that this is not a ghost film. It may want to come across as one because of a sudden noise here and there but it isn’t. The moment leading to actually seeing a ghost was drown out way too long and when the ghost made an appearance, the stupid sound would raise to make you jump. I hate that so much in horror films. Don’t make me jump from impulse, make me jump from fear. It’s such a lazy move to rely on the rise in a sudden music tone and call it a horror flick. All in all, I will not see this film again.
