Rhyming Review For ‘God Bless America’

‘God Bless America’ is a comedy written and directed by Bobcat Goldthwait

It’s a dark comic tale of a man who can’t stand society’s meanness and hate

He’s fed up with people who are rude, nasty and act in ways that are vicious

He takes to the road with a plan of action that, for him, seems quite delicious

Killing these offensive folks seems like the best way to for him to find peace

He has bad migraines and offing these hateful people might help them cease

The story is contemporary and hits on current issues and topics of the day

It riffs on reality TV, newscasters, and many idiotic things people do and say

There are some rants of dialogue that are quite funny because they’re very true

Based on this it almost seems justified what the character has set out to do

Joel Murray is good as the man on a mission and he’s joined by Tara Lynne Barr

She plays a teen who decides to join him as he travels the country in a stolen car

This film is not for everyone and its unique, dark comic style could offend

I tend to like twisted tales and thought this was pretty good from start to end
