Top 5: M. Night Shyamalan

These are the top five films, in my opinion, made by M. Night Shyamalan. Though you all may disagree, please comment, because I want to here everyone’s ideas on his films. I’ll put the worst film he ever did on here, too, to see if you all agree (though it pissed me off becaused the film could have been amazing).

So, without further ado, I give to you the top five M. Night Shyamalan films ever made (go figure there are only like 5…)

5. The Village
4. Lady in the Water
3. Unbreakable
2. The Sixth Sense
1. Signs

Worst:

The Happening

  1. Does M. Knight have any good films I do not like any of his work. I remember seeing Lady in the Water on a double date and this was one of the first times i just stared at a screen and said what the hell is this.

  2. How about the top 1 movie M. Night has made. The Sixth Sense. He always comes so close to a likeable movie but always seems to lose something along the way.

Signs…the story was great, loved the timing, and any movie with Joaquin…but the ending sucked and I’d rather have seen no alien at all than that “thing” in a costume.

The Happening…went from creepy to sleepy in no time. It had a great opening, and those construction workers walking off the scaffolding hands down was the most creative scene i’ve seen in a while. But then the story either gets incredibly lost or gets lost in credibility. Cool scenes don’t necessarily make a cool movie.

The Village…eh. I’ll give him that one. He always has some great ideas. A work of fiction starts with two words…”what if”? He asks but he doesn’t seem to answer them to his best ability.

Unbreakable…same thing. Great idea but executed half assed when they brought Jackson into the picture. Oops. It was Jackson wasn’t it?

Sixth Sense made the mose sense. It was a great story. What if you could see dead people, and they could see you too.

    My two cents. PhilmClips
