Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

time 110 mins.

Directed by  Edgar Wright

Starring: Michael Cera.

This guy has a very high pitched voice. I think his name is Michael Cera. Either way he works here big time. One note of caution, this film works better for adults. Why?… Sound effects, pacing, tone, atmosphere, direction, editing and a definate star making turn for those of us like myself who are not on the bandwagon. because of the above achievments. This is a remarkable easy to watch movie experience. The movie bristles with life. So much so i can’t help but like almost all of it.

Scott Pilgram vs the world is about a young adult dating a child and this is his chance to get the next mark on the block. He is awesomely selfish which i can relate to. He is so shrewd, you can’t help but love the guy. The movie employs a combination of megabattles that look like arcade games from the good old 90’s and kung-fu theater from the 70’s and 80’s. It does last a hair too long. Nevertheless this is fresh and new. The kind of stuff classics are made of.
