The Top Movies of the Decade… By Year!

Being that this year was full of total crap until the later half, it is essentially the best example of this decade in film. Many of the ten years in this decade have had really bad intros, and exuberantly awesome endings, for example: 2009, 2007, and 2006 (to say the least). 1. Interesting choices. I strongly disagree with Avatar and Million Dollar Baby which I thought were two of the worst of the decade! But glad to see gems like Hot Fuzz, Diving Bell, Frailty and JCVD getting recognition.

  2. Mostly a great list, though if Sunshine is the film about reigniting the sun with a nuke the size of Manhattan, I respectfully disagree. The premise was ridiculous, the acting was okay, but I found the injection of artificial tension to be insulting. Glad to see Children of Men, Moon and Up in the Air there though, sorely underrated films.

  3. Well, Sunshine was more about the beauty of carnage, and showing how everyone fell in their own way, be it by acceptance or by involuntary bad luck. I thought the movie was brilliant. But yes, Children of Men, Moon and Up in the Air were all amazing.

Though you would think that this movie would be simply exceptional, I thought that Spielberg didn’t do that well with it. I’m not saying it wasn’t a good movie, but
