Clash Of The Titans

A movie like “Clash of the Titans” has been done before, however it has never been done to this extreme. The movie is set in the Greek city of Argos, where the King that rules there decides to start a war with the gods. This is a fast paced action, sci-fi movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

During the attack on the gods, Perseus’ (Sam Worthington)  fisherman’s family is killed by Hades (Ralph Fiennes).  Hades tells the kingdom that he will release his monster child the Kracken unless they sacrifice the beautiful princess Andromeda (Alexa Davalos) who the Queen Cassiopeia (Polly Walker) not moments before had stated that she was “more beautiful than Aphrodite (agyness Deyn) herself”  Perseus finds that he is to protect the city of Argos from Hades as well as fighting on behalf of his family. On Perseus’ travel to find the Kracken, he finds that his father is none other then Zeus (Liam Neeson) making him half man and half god. Perseus and his army of six men run into many challenges along the way. Large scorpions in the desert, Djin which are sand creatures, but Perseus soon finds out that they too want to fight the gods. They also have to deal with three witches that all have to share an eye that tell them how Perseus and his men could possibly fight the Kracken. Which leads them to the underworld to Medusa. If Perseus and his men are able to kill the Kracken then they will be able to prevent Hades, who wants to destroy mankind, from over ruling Zeus.

The camera work done by director Louis Leterrier in the movie is phenomenal, the angle work in the fight scenes make everything come to life and is more than realistic. The fight scenes where very intense, electrifying! The special effects are some of the best that I have ever seen.

You don’t learn too much about the characters and the movie would have benefitted to be a little longer so that you could be drawn in a little bit more by the characters.

As I had said this movie has been done before, plenty of times. However, this movie is very exciting on the big screen and I only seeing it in 2-D loved it, but I could only imagine how much more enthralling this movie would be in 3-D

  1. Are you serious about this? The graphics were not too good, the acting was disappointing, the camera work was okay, the action scenes sucked, and the plot was awful. The original was not only much better, but Clash of the Titans is one of the worst films so far this year.
