The Tall Man-Review

Some townspeople of Cold Rock believe that mysterious “the tall man” is the reason children are disappearing; but others believe he is an urban myth. When the town’s doctor, Julia Denning’s (Jessica Biel) child is taking from his bed, she is on the hunt to find the kidnapper. The closer she gets to finding her son, a troubling secret starts to unfold. Will she find her son? Is there really a man call “the tall man” who’s taking the children?

Review:

Well, I tip my hat off to Jessica for staying away from “typecast-status,” but I didn’t enjoy this film that much. Although, I do believe that she gave a good performance. every tear seemed sincere and fearful and every struggle was passionate. I did not enjoy the storyline as it has been done way too many times in other films and done in the same order. Where there was suspense, there was predictability. Where there was moments of actions, were also moments of yawning. I also didn’t like the location, which was a poor grey-colored town that wasn’t believable. The cast where a bore as well. I hated the end, although the story gave good reason for it, it just returned back to repetition from earlier films. The narration was over-done. I didn’t need to hear what was happening or the reason why because I was already watching it happen during the scene. All in all, I will never see this film again.
