Jay Roach directs a cast of corporate men who get together once a month to award the most idiotic person the group can find.
Paul Rudd (Tim) leads this cast to gain a corporate position within the company he works for. Trying to get ahead, he is invited to attend a dinner by his boss Lance Fender (Bruce Greenwood). Each of the members of the company who are invited have to find the most idiotic person he/she can find. By the end of the evening, the person the group agree to wins an award.
Between stupidity, dead mice, blonde headed psycho stalking bimbo, sexually driven artist and other lead ups to tie this movie together, I just did not connect with it. Okay, yes there were a few parts that made me laugh but it just did not have the capacity of what it could have been. We had a few major actors here, Steve Carrell (Barry), Paul Rudd (Tim), who in fact starred in the ’40 year old virgin’ together and Bruce Fender (Lance) from ‘Double Jeopardy’.
It was like “can someone please pass me a couple of match sticks so that i can stay awake”. I think the highlight for me in this movie alone would’ve been when Barry (Carrell) mistakens Julie ( Stephanie Szostak), Tim’s girlfriend, for the psycho stalker Darla (Lucy Punch), just by matching her buttocks to a faxed through photograph. Now who does that??????
That’s all the review i have on this movie folks, and i am in no hurry to see it again.
Until next time, see you at the movies!
