So the wait is over, Harry has returned to the big screen. The film picks up from part six where Harry (Daniel Radcliff), Hermione (Emma Watson), and Ron (Rupert Grint) are in the search for Lord Voldemort’s (Ralph Fiennes) horcruxes. These horcruxes are items that Voldemort has placed his souls-giving him immortality-and are scattered across the world. Getting the horcruxes is not an easy task when the trio continue to fend for their lives and have no idea where the next item is located. Will they find each horcrux before Voldemort captures and kills them? How will they find them? Will Harry avenge Professor Doumbledore’s death?
Review:
I was counting down all year for the premiere of this movie and the wait was worth it. I love, love, love, this film. I’m a huge fan of the books and watching the movie basically replay every scene and line from it, was entertaining. Usually when a book goes to film, the director and crew cut out alot of scenes from the book and add a lot of Hollywood to it. Kudos. The movie starts off in action just like the book, where Harry is being transported with the gang lead by Alastor “Mad Eye” Moody (Brendan Gleeson) to a safe location. Their brilliant plan goes array when Voldemort is tipped off of Harry’s early departure and they are under attack. Spells flying everywhere, knocking people off their brooms sending them to their deaths hundreds of feet off the ground. Most of Harry and his crew make it to safety. So, now that the danger is gone, it’s time to celebrate by continuing on with the eldest Weasley brother’s wedding. Dancing, singing and frolicking around is interrupted by another attack from Voldemort’s people. The action in the film is superb along with the scenery and acting. I felt the same powerful emotions from the film that I felt from the book, which is a hard task to do. Kudos, again. I can’t wait until part 2 comes out next summer. Awesome movie!!
