Movie and Film Reviews (MFR) Action,Adventure Indiana Jones and the Kindom of the Crystal Skull

Indiana Jones and the Kindom of the Crystal Skull

Indy has been gone for 20 years, but he’s back and better then ever. Harrison Ford teams up with Shia LaBeouf, Karen Allan, and Cate Blanchatt in what is sure to be a blockbuster smash. The film is 2 hours and 4 minutes long and is rated PG-13, the film is directed by Steven Spielberg.

Archaeologist Dr. Henry Jones is asked to go on another adventure after being entangled with a Soviet woman (Cate Blanchatt) who is obsessed with an artifact known as the crystal skull. Along the way Dr. Jones (Harrison Ford) learns that Mary (Karen Allen) has been kidnapped from his son Mutt.(Shia LaBeouf) The two head to Peru where they uncover clues that will help them find the skull as well as Mary.  After getting into several uncompromising situation the two find Mary and an old friend of Indy’s while discovery the dangerous power of the crystal skull which turns out to be a supernatural power. Naturally, the good guys get away and the Soviet’s including Irina Spalko(Blanchatt) who after seeing the alien melts to death. Indy, Mary, his son Mutt/Henry Jr. and Indy’s friend Professor Oxly make it out safely and Indy and Mary finally get married.

Entertaining, fun and exciting are just a few words that can be used to describe this film with detailed set, great sound and incredible special effects the film is perfect for the whole family to enjoy. The film also covers the history nice not perfectly, but close. I will say that my only complaint with the film was the lack of wipe action one of the characteristics that made Indy what it is. However, I did enjoy the scene when Indy has to grab a snake in order to get free from the quick sand. There are several moments that have left people saying that’s not possible, but one must remember that Steven Spielberg has brought back dinosaurs and as made several alien film himself so this shouldn’t be mush of a surprise. The film is just as entertaining as the first three and is best scene in the theaters.

  1. good idea to have a come back into the millenium. But i still prefer the original trillogy. For the fact that their were better stories and had real stunt man which shows that spielberg ” broke a leg ” for those films. However harrison ford hasnt gotten old .

I’m not one to see a movie based on a review.  I write reviews and I know that they can be very subjective, so I try to base my opinion
