Unstoppable

Unstoppable  (98 min)

“Unstoppable” relentless plot is indeed unstoppable. The action and intensity starts off in a fierce way and seems to speed its way along the entire movie on a one way train track till its climactic end in a fashion as unstoppable as the train itself. A veteran engineer played by the great Denzel Washington and a young conductor (Chris Pine) race against the clock to prevent a catastrophe involving a runaway train. Seems very simple, but it is done with finely tuned action and special effects and the acting to go along with it. You get what you expect with Denzel and Chris Pine does an adequate job at his side. The movie loses focus at a couple instances as the two reveal some personal information and problems, but it is all just added to the intense drama of the film. For me it got a little tedious at times, but the movie was done so well that even the tedious moments were acceptable. I mean I wouldn’t say that it is a fantastic movie; it is just a solid piece of work with intense, thrilling, suspenseful and at times dramatic sequences of action that are done so with excellent timing and great quality. “Unstoppable” is rated PG-13 for sequences of action and peril, and some language.

  1. Yeah, I thought it was great and even the personal scenes offered some relief to the nonstop action, which I thought was nice
