Pirate’s of the Carribean: At World’s End

Starring: Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley, Geoffrey Rush

I don’t want to ruin things for you people, but this is ‘not’ the end, it appears.  That being said, they did close out a few.. just a few.. chapters/characters in the saga in this movie.  I was surprised that this movie seemed to be all about Captain Jack Sparrow, and Elizabeth, and not really about Will much at all.  In fact, he was hardly in this film.  This whole thing started over his love for Elizabeth, and now it seems like that isn’t even a very important fact in the saga.  Oh well…. it was better than the second one, because it didn’t seem to drag as much, although it was just as long, if not longer.  It wasn’t as good as the first, though.  The special effects, as always, were great.  The story was decent, but not as good as the first, and they left it open for yet another movie in the end.  However, I think that if there is another one, that Will, and Elizabeth, may not be a part of it.  I give this one three out of five stars.  Good for kids, of course.

  1. I was very disappointed with this movie. I absolutely love the first one, and thought the second one was okay. To me it feels as though the series just gets a little bit slower, a little bit more far fetched, and a little bit less enjoyable. Particularly the scene with the hundreds of Jack Sparrows made me roll my eyes. Don’t get me wrong; I did enjoy “At World’s End”. It just didn’t stack up at all to the rest. 2.5/5 from me.
