After quitting her job as a teacher to get married to her rich fiance, Elizabeth Halsey (Cameron Diaz) is suddenly dumped by her husband to be. She finds herself back at the teaching grounds of Adams Middle School 3-months-later. Her new goal: kick back on the teaching, and find a partner who will take care of her financially, a description she sees in Scott Delacorte (Justin Timberlake), a substitute teacher who happens to be of wealthy background.
Jake Kasdan, the director responsible for cult comedy titles “Orange County (2002)” and “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story (2007)”, is bouncing back to the comedy scene with his 2011 film “Bad Teacher”. The film stars the always sexy Cameron Diaz as a foul-mouthed, pot smoking, binge drinking teacher, whose teaching methods are as bitchy as her characters persona.
Cameron Diaz stars alongside her ex-lover, singer turned actor, Justin Timberlake, and a cast of seasoned comedians in John Segel, Lucy Punch, and Phyllis Smith.
This film was just okay for me. Had a few laughs here and there. Cameron not as sexy as I thought she would be in this (Maybe shes getting too old?). The scenes where her character is bad-ass is great and mostly the highlights of this, until as expected, she turns for the good. Quite the predictable ending you’ll see a mile away. It is what it is.
