Little Fockers

I woke up one Saturday morning and realized I had   nothing to do. So I decided to use a  x mas gift I received  a gift card  to see  the  comedy  Little  Fockers  staring  a wonderful cast that includes Robert  De niro, Ben Stiller, Dustin Hoffman, Barbra Streisand, Blythe Danner, and Jessica Alba. It’s been 6 years   since we all meet the fockers and it seems like they picked up right where they left off.  Jack Byrne’s (Robert de Niro) still has it in for his tightly wound up son in law Greg Focker (Ben stiller). Jack spends the movie doing his CIA best spying and covert missions to see if Greg is worth being the godfocker of the Byrne’s family after he is gone. Greg takes a second job after his godfocker speech with jack at the beginning of the movie, to get his finical house in order.  Jack thinks  Greg is cheating on his daughter  because  he has been coming home late  every night  He didn’t  know Greg had taken a second job  with a  beautiful  drug rep  Andi( Jessica Alba) selling this companies version of Viagra . Jack suspicions led him to get his granddaughter Samantha (Daisy Tahan) to spy on their parents. She tells grandpa that daddy is meeting with someone named   Andi at a hotel; this person gives daddy his boners. One of the best scene involves the little son Henry focker played by (Colin baiocchi). When Greg gets off the phone with jack after his god focker speech feeling powerful he tells his son he needs to eat his dinner. His wife say’s to him Henry is feeling nauseous go easy on him. Henry has some projectile vomiting for his dad. Greg comes home late one night and jack put a spot light on him grilling him CIA style. While talking jack is integrating Greg about his late nights he asks about the bag in the closet. Greg says its drug samples you didn’t try them did you jack. During jacks integration Greg   notices Jack has a boner. Jack confesses to him he tried the samples and can’t get rid of his boner. They go into the bathroom so Greg can give him a shot of adrenalin to get rid of his erection of more than 4 hrs. While jack has his pants down for a shot in his penis the son walks in and see daddy holding grandpa’s penis.

One of the funnier scenes was Greg and jack going to the day care center where they want to send the little fockers. While talking outside they are approached by the director. The director Prudence played by (Laura Dern), she mistakenly assumes Greg and Jack are a gay couple.  Harvey Keitel had a small role as a seedy contractor. I think they could have cut his role down it didn’t do much for the plot. Owen Wilson returns  as Kevin  Rawely the  odd investment banker who is still has a thing  for pam. Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand are a great  choice as  Greg’s parents .They  seem to  have gotten very   comfortable in their  roles as  Greg’s  lovable  Jewish parents.  I thought the choice of Chicago was a god choice, the back drop of the city made a good setting .All in all I thought it was a good movie very funny not as good as the first, but a good movie and worth the trip to the theaters.  It didn’t match up to the first two I guess that what you get what you change directors in a successful franchise. Final thought; it doesn’t matter what people think as long as you’re happy with your life. I give little fockers 2 ½ stars.

Most, if not all, romantic comedies follow the same formula. Boy meets girl/girl meets boy, boy likes girl/girl likes boy, girl starts dating someone else/boy starts dating someone else, boy
