Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis are the lead stars in the comedy ‘The Campaign’
Like their other films this one is funny with humor that is silly, juvenile and inane
Ferrell plays a multi-term congressman who is running unopposed for re-election
Then some big-shot businessmen pick an opponent by making a strange selection
They want to remove Ferrell’s character from office and replace him with their guy
They are working on a shady deal and need someone’s vote they know they can buy
The two characters are both odd and funny in their own unique and crazy way
Ferrell plays his ‘buffoon-ish’ while Galifianakis’ seems a bit effeminate, I would say
Their antics get crazier, nastier and meaner as the campaign comes down to the end
They do things to try to get more votes that become increasingly harder to defend
Telling the truth determines the winner, something each of the candidates can’t avoid
In supporting roles are Jason Sudeikis, Dylan McDermott, John Lithgow and Dan Aykroyd
There are lots of inappropriate situations and plenty of scenes that were funny to me
Even if you’re not a Ferrell or Galifianakis fan this one might be one you’ll want to see
