At first I assumed that Pirates of the Caribbean, On Stranger’s Tides would be nothing other than a cheap spin off from the original trilogy, but I was pleasantly surprised.  Many people may disagree with me, but the movie did contain a little something for all audiences. Although two main members of the original Caribbean (being Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightley), are absent in the movie, it still contains the charm and romance of the previous three movies. The movie focuses on Captain Jack Sparrow’s (Johnny Depps) search for the fountain of youth.  During this search he is joined by Angelica (Penelope Cruz), Blackbeard (Ian McShane), and Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush).  The movie centers around a rivalry of who can get to the Fountain of Youth first and gain immorality. While Britan is competing with Spain, Blackbeard and his crew are also on the hunt, which of course means they need the help of Jack Sparrow, I mean Captain Jack Sparrow. Most of the plot is Jack getting out of “sticky situations”, but that seems to be something we never really get tired of. Throughout the adventure these pirates encounter, zombies, ruthless pirates, and of course mermaids.  But, nothing is as ever simple as it seems.Overall, if you consider yourself a Pirate’s fan, it is defiantly worth your money on the big screen, but not necessarily in 3D.  The movie ends with a definite possibility if not reality of a 5th. Pirate’s movie.  If you see it in theaters, make sure to hang around until the credits are finished scrolling, the clip at the end is worth it!Till next time me’hartes.
