The film that portrays the meteoric rise of the youngest billionaire in the world (Mark Zuckerberg). The Social Network stars Jesse Eisenberg (Mark Zuckerberg), Andrew Garfield (Eduardo Saverin), and Justin Timberlake (Sean Parker). The story revolves around Mark Zuckerberg’s creation of Facebook during his days as a student at Harvard and the multiple litigation cases from Eduardo Saverin and the Winklevoss brothers. The early scenes depict the early days of Facebook in the dorms of Harvard. Saverin is the co-founder, CFO, money-man, and business mind. Zuckerberg is the brilliant computer programmer and creative thinker. Together they very quickly start to add schools and users to the website. Then as the website continues to gain momentum and popularity, as so often it does in real life, the dynamics and relationships change tremendously. Zuckerberg befriends Sean Parker and decides to move out to California while Saverin stays behind and takes an internship in New York. The relationship with Parker grows stronger while Saverin fades further away. The Social Network is a story of betrayal and greed. The acting and dialog in this movie is superb. Jesse Eisenberg does a terrific job of portraying the geeky, brilliant, fast-talking, and sometimes arrogant Zuckerberg. Andrew Garfield also does a nice job of showing us the business-savvy money man best friend of Zuckerberg, Eduardo Saverin. Justin Timberlake plays Sean Parker, controversial figure, founder of Napster, and lightning rod of attention in this movie. The soundtrack created by Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross is oscar-worthy and creates a nice added dimension to the film. The music has that digital, electronic, and young hip sound that weaves in and out of the movie flawlessly.Bottom Line: The Social Network again shows us the brilliant directing style of David Fincher and is his best directing job since Fight Club. The acting, directing, dialog, and sountrack are excellent. Anyone with an aspiration to be a billionaire or a facebook account should see it.
Short DVD Review – The Social Network (2010)

I agree with the review. Don’t forget about Zodiac though, I think that and Seven have been his best work over the years. The Social Network gets better the more I see it. The acting, the music, the story, editing, everything. Great movie!
