Remember Me

Remember Me , directed by Allen Coulter of ‘holywoodland’ fame is one of those rare Hollywood flicks that did well mostly because of its male lead .It’s  a movie in which you can actually see the ‘the oh so beautiful’ Robert pattinson a.k.a Rpatz act.Playing the character of ‘Tyler Hawkins’ a 21 year old young man disturbed by the death of his elder brother michael hates his father ‘Charles ‘played by ex bond Pierce Brosnan because not only has he indulged himself more in work after his son’s death but also seems to ignore ‘Caroline’ Ruby Jerins .’Aidan’ (Tate Ellington) tylers best friend and he himself get into trouble one night outside the bar with a very austere cop Neil (Chris Cooper) . Later as Aidan sees Neil dropping Ally (Emilie De Ravin) his daughter at the NYU campus he convinces Tyler to meet Ally jus for the heck of it.From here on the story is very mediocre with a few unexpected turns to pick up the story every 10-15 minutes. The Romance between Tylor and Ally though admirable because of his british and her Australian accent does not develop well and is given handled with ignorance. This movie without robert pattinson and would be a disaster. If people blame him for bedazzling the whole twilight saga , they must watch this one to change their opinion. The ending is very emotionally blunt and is literally living up to the title and can be very well termed as nothing but a very cheap stunt by the director to spice up the story and end it on a shocking note but hey , whatever Allen was trying to do , it worked ,big time.I recommend it to all the fans of robert pattinson , must watch . People with a very critical eye and those who actually weigh the movie on its story, screenplay etc should watch it to but don’t expect a 5/5 act.
