Rhyming Review For ‘The Lorax’

‘The Lorax’ is an animated movie based on the story by the famous Dr. Seuss
In a loving nod, this story is not about a moose, this story is not about a goose

Dr. Seuss is known for using unique names and a rhyming style that’s very fine
I think having read his stories as a child helped inspire the rhyming reviews of mine

In ‘The Lorax’, the only rhymes you’ll hear are when the characters break into song
This happens a few times (maybe too many) where everyone in the film sings along

The town of Thneedville has no real trees and people have to purchase their air
There is a wall around Thneedville and just outside is land that is barren and bare

The main character Ted, to win the heart of a girl, goes in search of a real tree
A man named Once-ler tells him the story of how the barren land came to be

Once-ler was the one who chopped down the trees and caused the Lorax to appear
The Lorax tried to stop him but Once-ler continued, much to the Lorax’s fear

The voices are Danny De Vito, Zac Ephron, Taylor Swift and Betty White
The film’s just ok and if asked to recommend it, would I say ‘skip it’, yes I just might
