Hot Tube Time Machine (2010)

This weeks hot pick is Hot Tub Time Machine. It’s finally out for Red Box and well worth the rental. This movie was well made and very enjoyable. It as mild violence and strong language. The story line is 4 friends decide to go to a mountain resort which was hopping when they were young and stay in the same room as they did before. They go back in time with the use of the hot tub and appear in their same bodies with all current and old memories intact. Unlike most time travel movies where you watch yourself in that time ie Time Cop with Van Damme. These guys actually jump into their bodies and take them over. Afraid of a Paradox they decide to live exactly as they did then. The whole movie is done in 80’s style from music to clothing and even hair styles. The whole movie is them trying to keep the time line unchanged but everything just happens a little off. I will not give away to much of the story but John Cusack is perfectly in character for his funnier movies from his past, also Chevy Chase guest stars as the Hot Tub repairman. This Movie will leave you rolling in laughter and rockin to the oldies. I have to say if I knew than what I know now I’d be buying stock in Microsoft back then. Funny tag lines with plenty of twists keep you riveted to the screen and rooting for the guys all the way. I give this movie an A for comedy but this not a family movie due to strong language and violence.
