Grown Ups – 2010
Grown ups is easily one of the funniest I have seen this year, Adam Sandler and friends, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade and Rob Schneider are an absolute riot. The film follows Lenny Feder (Sandler) and friends as they reunite to attend their old basketball coach’s funeral and spend the weekend together over 4th of July.
Directed by Dennis Dugan who has directed other Sandler greats such as Happy Gilmore and Big Daddy has pulled off another comedy masterpiece in my opinion. Grown Ups was written by Adam Sandler and Fred Wolf, no surprise there then. Also if you happen to be blind you may mistake this film as an hour and a half of stand-up comedy from the 5 stars of this hilarious movie. In the first hour alone I believe you are looking at least a laugh out loud joke every 60 seconds.
I could literally spend hours quoting jokes from this movie but I really don’t want to spoil anything for those of you have not had the chance to see this flick. Sandler, James, Rock, Spade and Schneider spend the majority of the film making fun of each other and their families, something which this amazing cast pulls off brilliantly, the fact that the 5 of them are comedians at heart means that their timing is great and the punch lines that just keep coming will have u laughing all the way to the end credits. There is also a nice little heartfelt story hiding beneath all these laughs, all in all though this is a great piece of comedy one which I would recommend to all.
I give this film 5 stars, I may be a little bias as I’m a big fan of Sandler, James and Rock, but I challenge anyone to go see this and not laugh, if this happens to you I suggest you go out and develop a sense of humour, which you are seriously lacking if this doesn’t grab you by the funny bone and swing you round until your dizzy.

Great review, I’m a bit of a fan of Adam Sandler but wasn’t sure about this one. Definately going to be watching this now, your review has totally persuaded me. Will be looking out for more of your reviews after this if i agree after watching the film!
