As summer 2010 started oh after the whole iron man 2 drama we needed a comedy to come in and say we want to give you a thrill ride with some laughs for the next 90 minutes of your life Hot tube brings in stars such as John Cusack who last time I saw him was oh let’s say a little movie called con-air that I enjoyed every minute of and this is when it was playing on the dollar movies I went for free so no complaints here. Rob Corddry who last time I saw him on the big screen would have to be during Harold and Kumar movie and that was back in 2008 many many moons ago still a great flick.Clark Duke who I saw in the funny movie called sex drive that was funny funny funny .Last but not least Chevy Chase who is in all those national lampoons movies that I’ve only seen 2 of so far.
As the movie begins you see your main characters just sitting around talking about sex drugs who they want to hump and talking about the past girlfriends. They enter the time machine and the fun begins plus they go into the machine drunk as all heck so remember never go drunk into a time machine ever again.
There are a bunch of one liners in the movie where they talk about 80s things such as what color is Michael Jackson and of course you can’t talk to anybody cause you can’t screw up the future nobody wants that now but i’d do it anyway without anybody knowing.
That said this movie is a summer hit but it’s not that huge blockbuster cash cow that I was hoping it should of been I don’t want to give to much away cause I’d spoil something and of course everybody hates that. This is 90 minutes of pure fun from start to end with a budget of 36 million dollars you could tell most of it went to the actors who gave you great jokes and a great storyline. 4/5
