Rhyming Review For ‘My Week With Marilyn’

In ‘My Week With Marilyn’, Michelle Williams is excellent in the title role

She transforms into Marilyn Monroe portraying her fully in body and soul

Marilyn’s in London making a film with Sir Laurence Olivier, the acting great

He bullies her instead of helping her and he seems to like to intimidate

A young man who works on the set tells the story from his point of view

He sort of takes care of her which is something he can’t believe he gets to do

As they spend more time together their special friendship they try to hide

He starts to fall for her but nothing can come of it she does decide

She was one of the biggest stars in the world and the story points this out

She was good at playing ‘Marilyn’ but her film acting caused her some doubt

Kenneth Branagh is good as Laurence Olivier and leads a stellar supporting cast

Eddie Redmayne plays the young man telling this little known story from our past

The acting is really the best part of this film and I’d rate the story as just ok

It’s probably worth checking out, especially if you’re a Marilyn fan, I would say
