Changeling, a Mr. E Movie Review

(Run time: 141 min. – Directed by: Clint Eastwood – Starring:  Angelina Jolie, Gattlin Griffith, Michelle Gunn)

The Clint Eastwood directed drama Changeling stars the gorgeous and talented Angelina Jolie. This film will grip you tight and not let you go until after the end credits.

The story is about Ms. Collins, played by Angelina Jolie, who is a single mother living in Los Angeles in the late 1920’s. She works as a supervisor for telephone operators while her son Walter is in school.

One Saturday instead of taking her son to the movies Ms. Collins is called into cover a shift at work. When she returns home late she can’t find Walter anywhere. She searches the neighborhood but he’s nowhere to be found. When she returns home she calls the police but they insist that she wait 24 hours before they can help.

After a difficult five months she gets the call that she’s been waiting for, Walter has been found! Rushing to the train station to meet him she is left dumbfounded when the boy she’s reunited with is not her son.

She tells the LAPD this and they insist that he is. But, they really just don’t want to look bad in a time when they really are bad. And as any real parent would do she never gives up the search. Pressuring the LAPD to the point that either they’ll break or she will.

Angelina Jolie is absolutely perfect! This role is so beautiful for her that ever ounce of pain and struggle comes across so genuinely that you’ll find yourself on an emotional ride that will have you loving this actress and this movie when it all comes to an end.

Changeling is a huge recommend to anybody looking to experience an awesome film, with an awesome leading actress, and directed by an American legend. Truly, this is drama at it’s finest.
